How to add, import, edit, delete organizations

How to Add an Organization

Information Needed

  • Organization Name*
  • Organization Description
  • Parent Name – Organization that this department or division rolls up to

To add an Organization

  1. Select Organizations from the Admin Menu.
  2. Select Add Organization.
  3. Fill out the information on the Add Organization page.
  4. Select Submit.

When complete, return to the Organization List and select to view your organization structure.

How to Import Organizations

Use the import feature to add large groups of Organizations to the Coaching Platform (primarily during the configuration phase.)  Note that only new Organizations can be imported.  If an Organization already exists in Coaching, do not include in the Import file. 

  • Download the template
    1. Select Organizations from the Admin Menu. Select Import.
    2. Select Download the template file.
  • Fill out the Organization list (.csv template).
  • Organization Name*
  • Organization Description 
  • Parent Name
  • Import the completed Organization list
  • Select Organizations from the Admin Menu. Select Import.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen to map the fields, verify and correct errors, and import the file.

When complete, return to the Organization List and select to view your organization structure.

How to Edit an Organization

  1. Select Organizations from the Admin Menu.
  2. Select the edit icon next to the Organization.
  3. Update the Organization information.
  4. Select Submit.

How to Delete an Organization

When you delete an Organization, the records are simply deactivated and still reside in the Coaching Platform.  

Prior to deleting an Organization

  • edit any people who are assigned to this Organization and assign a new Organization.

To delete an Organization 

  1. Select Organizations from the Admin Menu.
  2. Select the delete icon next to the Organization.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

To restore an Organization 

  1. Select Organizations from the Admin Menu.
  2. Turn on the Show Inactive switch in upper right corner of the Organization page.
  3. Select the restore icon next to the Organization.
  4. Confirm the restore.

Turn off the Show Inactive switch to display the active organizations.
