How to add, import, edit, and delete people

How to Add a Person

Prior to adding a person

  1. Gather the following information – * Denotes the field is required
    • Organization Name* 
    • Employee ID
    • First Name*
    • Last Name*
    • Email* – must be unique
    • Manager
    • Job Role* 
    • Time Zone*
  2. Verify the person’s organization, job role, and manager have been added to Coaching Platform.

To add a person

  1. Select People from the Admin Menu.
  2. Select Add Person.
  3. Fill out the person’s information
  4. Allow Login – Turning on Allow Login will grant this individual the ability to log in.   and an account activation email will be sent to the individual when you submit this page. Allow Login can be turned on later if you are not ready for the user to log in.
  5. Select Submit.

Tip

  • If you turn on Allow Login and the individual does not receive a welcome email, have them check their spam.

How to Import People

Use the import feature to add large groups of people to the Coaching Platform (primarily during the configuration phase.)  Note that only new people can be imported.  If a person already exists in Coaching, do not include them in the Import file. 

  • Download the template
  1. Select People from the Admin Menu. Select Import.
  2. Select Download the template file.
  • Fill out the people list (.csv template).  * Denotes the field is required
  • Organization Name* – org name must match exactly to an organization already added to the system
  • Employee ID
  • First Name*
  • Last Name*
  • Email* – must be unique and must not already exist in Coaching Platform
  • Manager email – If manager doesn’t exist in Coaching Platform, the manager must be included in this import file as well.
  • Job Role* – job role must match exactly to a job role already added to the system
  • Time Zone
  • Import the completed people list
    • Select People from the Admin Menu. Select Import
    • Follow the instructions on the screen to map the fields, verify and correct errors, and import the file.

How to Edit a Person

  1. Select People from the Admin Menu.
  2. Use the filter results bar (first or last name) to locate the person and select the edit icon for that person..
  3. Update the person’s information
  4. Select Submit.

How to Delete a Person

When you delete a person, the records are simply deactivated and still reside in the Coaching Platform.

Prior to deleting a Manager

  • Edit any people who report to this manager and assign a new manager. Otherwise, the inactive manager will continue to show as the direct reports manager until an admin reassigns their manager.

Prior to deleting a Coach

  • Edit the Coach and remove the coaching relationships. 

To delete a person 

  1. Select People from the Admin Menu.
  2. Use the filter results bar (first or last name) to locate the person and select the delete icon for that person.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

To reactivate a person

  1. Select People from the Admin Menu.
  2. Use the filter results bar (first or last name) to locate the person and select the delete icon for that person.
  3. Confirm the deletion.
